A Perfume Lover’s Disclaimer

You know that feeling when you really want to share something but there is nobody there who truly understands you. You get really, really excited about something and everyone around is like, meh… Years ago it was the same story with Doctor Who. I was a huge Whovian and only ever met ONE likeminded person in my city! How bad is that?

Now, I do realise that fragrance has nothing to do with Doctor Who. Or even Star Trek for that matter. All I am saying is, I am starting this blog to be able to put some of my passion out there in the hope that some equally passionate people connect and share their ideas and we could have a conversation!!!

I love perfume and do not think it is a luxury for the few selected, nor that it is something disposable, a matter of vanity or snobbism. Perfume helps create memories. Perfume affects the mood. Perfume contributes to self-confidence. It could be a gateway to glamour and we all need a little dose once in a while. I could go on forever. If you were standing here with me, now would be the right time to stop me 🙂

Smell is our most primitive sense and yet it remains the least catered for – we nourish our palates with great food, feast our eyes on beautiful things, listen to good music, let our skin touch silk and kitten fur, but what do we consciously do for our olfactory attributes? Fragrance holds great power, every scent has a story. We can travel in time and space. Come with me on this exciting journey!
